Dance Residencies
Friends of Metro Dance and the Metro Parks Dance Division offer long-term and project-based residencies for the creation of new work in the dance field. Current long term partners include New Dialect, di mossa, and Chinese Arts Alliance of Nashville and project-based partners have included PYDANCE, Windship Boyd and Project AWAKE, among others.

ANIMATA ARTS ARTIST RESIDENCIES

Application Deadline: Friday, October 2
Animata Arts, in partnership with Metro Parks Dance Division & Friends of Metro Dance, is now accepting applications from Middle Tennessee-based artists for residencies at Centennial Performing Arts Studios/Morgan Community Center for the creation of new dance/movement-based works. Residencies consist of regular, reliable, and dedicated dance space for rehearsals free of charge, artist stipends, and feedback labs and culminate in a performance open to the public and professionally documented for the artist.

Residency Period: November 2026-March 2027
Performances: March 26-27, 2027
