DRESS CODE
- Ballet – leotard (any color); convertible pink or skin-tone appropriate tights; ballet slippers; pointe shoes (only if already on pointe); hair in a bun as length and texture allows or pulled back from face and secured to head OR White fitted t-shirt; black tights; black ballet slippers
- Jazz / Modern – leotard (any color); Long-sleeve t-shirt, light sweater, or sweatshirt for floor work; footless/convertible tights or leggings; socks (50/50 poly blend work best), jazz shoes, or ballet slippers; knee pads if desired for floor work.
- Afro-Brazilian - close-fitting dancewear; skirt and head scarf optional; bare feet
- Folk Dance – leotard, tights, ballet slippers, character skirt*
- Progressing Ballet Technique & Yoga - Ballet attire with warm-ups is fine. If students have their hair in a bun for ballet already, make sure it is in a high bun so they can lay their head flat on their mat when they are on their backs.
PROGRESSING BALLET TECHNIQUE (PBT) SUPPLY LIST
All items are available in the studios for use during classes or you may bring your own. Students may choose to purchase a PBT kit for $15 to take home for personal use. (PBT kit contains a theraband, pinky ball, medium overball but not a yoga mat)

GENERAL SUPPLY LIST
- Water bottle (we have water fountains), healthy lunch + snacks to eat during breaks throughout the day.
- Sweater, long-sleeve t-shirt or ballet warm-ups just in case the studio is too air conditioned. Layers are always a good idea.
- Notebook and pen to record any important or interesting information given to you during the workshop.
- Moleskin, band-aids, anti-bacterial ointment, Ace bandage or any supplies to tend to sore feet from pointe work or fatigued or strained muscles.
LUNCH
We will be breaking for 30 minutes during the day for lunch. A refrigerator is available for food storage. Students should label their food before putting in the refrigerator. The microwave in the kitchen is not available for student use. Students may eat in the lobby or on the lawn in the park but will not have time to leave the premises. Food is not allowed to be eaten in the studios.

ETIQUETTE
- Doors will open each morning at 8:30 a.m. Dancers should arrive and sign-in at least 5-10 minutes before class begins, dressed appropriately and ready to work.
- Dancers should make sure to clean up thoroughly after lunch and at the end of each day taking care to pick up stray socks, band-aids, toe tape, trash, etc.
- Phones should be silenced and put away during class. Texts or calls should be from the lobby during breaks. Students may use access performance music on their phones using headphones to review choreography.
- Parents interested in watching classes are asked to observe from outside the studio doors. We look forward to inviting you into the studio for our final showing.
- Dancers should show respect to each teacher through active listening, relevant questions and an openness to new information.
- Respectful, courteous behavior is expected at all times towards other dancers, teachers, CPAS staff, & parents regardless of race, gender identity, body type, disability, socio-economic status, political beliefs, religious beliefs.
