Each spring, the Centennial Youth Ballet of the Metro Parks Dance Division presents the annual Spring Concert, a celebration of a variety of styles, including classical ballet repertoire, neoclassical, and contemporary works. This performance is also an opportunity for the dancers to work with guest choreographers, often collaborating, honoring or creating original work. Rehearsals for the Spring Concert begin in January and culminate with three performances in April.

Centennial Youth Ballet presents: Four Seasons & Other Works
Four Seasons, an original neoclassical ballet choreographed by Daniella Parisot and Katie Eliason-Kropf, is set to a combination of Antonio Vivaldi's original score and contemporary composer Max Richter's recomposition and reinterpretation. Audience members will be transported through Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter with compelling movement, patterns, and timeless music. The triple-bill will include work by Nashville dancer, choreographer, community organizer and founder of New Dialect, Banning Bouldin. Bouldin’s striking choreography has been performed across the country receiving numerous awards and honors. This year, she has two works currently on tour for New Dialect including 21 Yeses, described by Nashville Scene as, “an evocative, ever-shifting dreamscape " and Echo Mother, a new world premiere based on her experience navigating parenting and caregiving with an invisible disability. Metro Parks Dance Division’s primary goal is to further the education of young emerging artists. Accompanying both premieres in the Spring Concert will be an original work by senior and student choreographer, Ansley Batts.
